Jesus Perez, District Director

Jesus Perez

Jesus G. Perez is a proud graduate of Arvin High School and California State University, Bakersfield. He currently serves as District Director for Supervisor Couch and as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Bear Mountain Recreation and Park District.

Jesus is dedicated to giving back to his community. He is actively involved in the Fourth District communities, including working with schools and nonprofits. Jesus is focused on making a positive impact in the lives of the over 50,000 residents of Lamont, Arvin, and Kern County.

As District Director, Jesus, strives to advocate for the needs and concerns of the community. He is focused on building a better future, through collaborations with local organizations and implementing projects that enhance the quality of life for the residents of Kern County. Jesus is determined to be an inspiration to those around him. He aims to lead by example and demonstrate the power of community engagement to the residents of the Fourth District.


Isabel Zamora, Chief of Staff

Isabel Zamora is a graduate of CSU Bakersfield, with a B.S. in Business Administration, concentration in Management.


Zachary Wakefield, Field Representative

Zachary Wakefield is a current CSU Bakersfield undergraduate student and is pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Agriculture Business.

He brings experience from working as an Intern for California State Senator, Andy Vidak for the past two years. He interacts with his district representatives and is very active within the community, from attending award ceremonies, grand openings, and tabling, to advocating on the constituents behalf. He plans to share his wealth of experience and knowledge to Team Couch.

Zachary has spent 22 years of life in the central valley and hopes to continue serving his communities to advocate on their behalf and make District 4 an area for everyone to thrive in.


Art Armendariz, Field Representative

Art has been a city councilmember, city Mayor, served on the Kern Economic Opportunities Commission, chaired the redevelopment Agency, and been on the Kern County Council and Government. Art served on St. Mary’s School Board of Trustees, Delano Joint Union High School District’s Board of Trustees, Bakersfield College Delano Campus Advisory Board, and Kern County Superintendent Advisory Council. He is currently Delano Joint Union High School District Board of Trustee, Board Member of the State-Wide Latino School Board Association, Board member of the Delano Mosquito Abatement District.

Art also devotes a great deal of time to volunteer organizations. He has been a member of the Community Alliance since 1992. He been active in the Delano Babe Ruth Association and has served as president for several year. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
